PIETRA VIVA

The Adda river valley in Lombardy, an Italian region renowned for the beauty of its lakes and landscapes, is also the area of origin of so-called Ceppo stone, a material that has been used since Roman times and was especially popular between the 15th and mid-19th centuries. This heterogeneous and highly decorative stone stands out for the presence of pebble-like fragments in contrasting colours.

Ceramic surfaces and sophisticated decorations combine traditional and contemporary influences.

JUST VENICE

The dolphin structures of the Venetian Lagoon Smooth or coarse, elaborated or rustic, each piece of wood encloses many aspects, just as many as its veins and with just as many colours. To realise the beauty, just take a stroll along the banks of the Venetian canals and admire the dolphin structures. Those pieces of wood emerging from the lagoon in silence to indicate the way for navigators; they have all the colours and shades. The wood’s secret soul.
